Fear and Love

Lies and Truth

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance.” John Lennon

In my recovery program there are two acronyms for fear; Fuck Everything And Run or Face Everything And Recover. When life gets hard I want to run, but thankfully, so far I’ve faced everything and I am still sober. The opposite of fear is faith, or trust.

Loving Sam is easy. Living an ethically non monogamous lifestyle, not so much sometimes. It takes a level of trust that not all couples have with each other. Fear is usually the culprit. Typically because one is afraid the other will leave them for someone else.

For us, part of loving one another is giving each other the freedom to experience passion and excitement with other people. It actually makes our relationship stronger. And.. it’s a lot of fun!

Life tip: If you’re afraid, do it anyway!

Thanks for reading!! Be kind to yourself and others,
